Resolutionist, Version 2013

Alright folks! It's the New Year! Did you make a list of resolutions? I did! I'm not quite ready to share all of them (as I'm still adding), however I used two of them already today and wanted to share them.

First of all, one of my resolutions is to drink a glass of hot green tea every day (to go along with my mug of organic coffee, of course.) It has a whole host of health benefits, but mostly I do it because I enjoy it. Sipping the hot deliciousness forces me to slow down and actually enjoy something fully. And God knows that that doesn't happen much around the little crazy house... I keep a totally whacky schedule.

Second, I headed to the grocery store. YES! That is a resolution of mine! Usually I'm so busy rushing that I don't make time to get to the store, and then when I'm hungry, I eat garbage. Bad juju. And I'm quite sick of running to McD's in 'crunch time.' Even once a month is too much. Gross. Anywho.... it looks like the rainbow threw up in my fridge currently. There are fruits and veggies of every variety and color----and I LOVE it!

Tonight I plan to either hit the gym or head for an hour walk. I put my bike on the trainer in our house last night----only to realize that this bike doesn't fit. The little thingers aren't long enough & I need to order an adapter. *sigh* Might as well put that gym membership to good use!

What are you doing about your resolutions? Did you make a list? Care to share them?

I'm technically not making any resolutions to do with weight loss/healthy living, other than: eat better than last year, and exercise better than last year!

I've signed up for Go The Distance again (fatgirlvsworld.blogspot.co.uk/p/gtd.html in case you don't know it) and I've made a pledge to walk every day. At the moment, it's only something like 0.3 miles and 8 minutes, but that'll add up! And it's certainly more than I WAS doing, which is the whole point.

:)

Happy new year!

My goal is to be more consistent. I go through phases of eating right and exercising, but then I will drop it flat. I want to work on staying in the groove or at least getting back into it more quickly once I have drifted.

Love yours!
