On a regular basis, people actually tell me their excuses. To my face. And I have a very, very hard time with that- simply because I've learned that making time for your health really isn't hard. At all. It takes planning and commitment and not much else. If you have time to Facebook, read this blog, or watch tv, then you have time to workout. The end. Simple. Sorry.
I don't pretend to be a perfect example of how-to, BUT here was yesterday's schedule for me... And I still had time to get to the dang gym!
-Up at 6:30 am
-Got kiddo up
-Jumped in shower, dressed, primped
-Headed to work from 8-5
-Came home and changed clothes
-Headed to gym for an hour
-Came back home
-Cleaned entire kitchen
-Took garbage out
-Cleaned out refrigerator
-Organized my entire walk-in closet
-Snuggled with kiddo & harrassed husband for an hour
-Put up tomatoes and green peppers from the garden for winter
-Bed time at 11 pm
My days are CRAY-CRAY lately! But I love that I can work 45 hours a week AND maintain my day to day life too- specifically, making time to get myself into a healthier place. Dedication! Takes some juggling- I'm not going to lie. But I cannot STAND when someone says they "Don't have time." You do. You DO have time. Make it. And by the way, when you're working out- it makes you WANT to keep working out. You just have to start. The endorphin high is so fantastic that you start to CRAVE more. Trust me!
Now then.... The workout....
The sweat level last night was INSANE! My clothes were SOAKED when I walked out of Anytime after my hour of cardio. Oh! And as a bonus, I left the air conditioning and walked outside into 90 degree humidity. Rockin'. Frickin' weather...
Clearly I look PUMPED to be sweaty, makeupless, haggard, hot, and holding still for this picture...
This level of smug should be illegal.
But it felt GOOD! All of it! I was an epic, wet, ridiculous looking mess, but I loved it. Kinda smelled like corn chips all sweaty like that, but whatever. Thank God we make soap... Anywho- 6 miles on the bike, 2 miles on the elliptical, and 2.5 miles on the treadmill. Boom!
Today? I feel AWESOME! We have a super fun weekend planned & I'm STOKED to get it started this afternoon.
Now then, off we go, folks! Have a great Thursday! Here's a laugh for you...
