Randompants Wednesday

Know what today is? Do ya? Do YA? It's Randompants Wednesday, that's what!

Let me start off by saying that I don't give two farts in the wind what the weather is outside today. (It's 20 degrees. For consideration's sake.) In my office, it's spring. I dressed accordingly. Maxi dress. Flats. Bright scarf. Cardigan.

Spring is here! At least behind my desk...

Speaking of behind the desk, we got a new computer system at the office. It's been an interesting transition. I warned the husband that this was going to be a rough week getting everything situated. And can I say? He's been AMAZING! Seriously- last night he made me chocolate chip cookies because he knows they make everything better. And that's AFTER he made the Creamy Vegetable Soup I randomly requested for dinner! What?! Awesomeness! I'm spoiled this week for SURE!

So in case you're wondering (because you don't live in this God forsaken place in the winter), it's STILL cold here. It snowed night before last. A lot. I'm so over this stinkin' winter. Over. It. My attitude is far less than thrilled when it comes to the temperature and climate. (Read: I want to beat Mother Nature with a barometer at this point!)

The only benefit to winter? My neighbor Paula and her snow angels on my lawn the day after a snowfall. Don't be jealous. Paula is amazing. The entire town knows her for her snow angels and her love of Christmas. If you live here, you know Paula and adore her. Period.

So long story short, I'm sorry for being away for a few days and literally saying NOTHING. But the busy weekend and technology transition totally knocked me on my tail. The good news is that this weekend I got to spend a lot of time with my not-so-little guy going to various events.

In fact, he had his first ever SOLO on stage this weekend! His school had their winter concert and Cole had a solo part in 'Don't Stop Believin' by Journey. He did great- as did all of the kids who sang on Sunday! Way proud of him and looking forward to seeing him in the upcoming play! Isn't it amazing to think that he went from bed ridden to belting out a solo on stage?!?! He's incredible. The end.

Let's see... What else am I missing? Oh! I'm in SECOND place in my NCAA bracket! That's right! And I have a shot at the win! Crazy! This will be my first top three finish EVER in a big bracket- if I can pull it out. (I took Florida for the win!) Also, I'm winning our family bracket too. So that means I'll have $50 to spend on whatever I want. Hmmm....

Did you fill out a bracket this year? Is it busted- or are you still going strong?

Lastly, I spent a lot of time in running shoes this weekend. Nathan and I had a little time to run to Plymouth this week to grab coffee- and then we drove down into the Kettle Moraine area to check out the cycling route for one of the rides we're scouting this summer. It was nice to be out and about, walking around, getting fresh air, and enjoying the- at that time- decent weather.

All that said, the rest of this week is going to be CRAZY. I'm hoping it's going to be nice enough to get outside tonight and walk or run or bike or SOMETHING. Keep your fingers crossed for me okay?

I promise- the rest of the week will be better than this TOTALLY wacko random post. Tell me- what's up in your world? Do you ever get crazy busy and forget to breathe? Would you prefer to live in dress shoes or running shoes? Dress pants or yoga pants? What's your favorite soup?

Much prefer running shoes to dress shoes. Lucky for me I get to wear them for my "job":) Favorite soup is split pea. Weird? Hope the weather improves soon!

It was SO nice to FINALLY walk outside yesterday. The sun was glorious! I can't complain about the weather here in WI because back home in NYstate they got 10 inches of snow over the weekend!
That puts things in perspective, doesn't it?
Have a great week!
